The Granat Xtreme Triathlon in Carinthia is ranked among the toughest endurance challenges, joining the growing series of international extreme triathlon events. The venue is planed in the region around Lake Millstatt, set against the alpine backdrop of the Hohe Tauern and reaching up to Austria’s highest peak – the Großglockner.
Participants can choose between the classic triathlon distance, covering over 266 km with a total of 6,600 meters of elevation, or a half-distance race of 126 km with 3,200 meters of elevation.

Partner hotels around Lake Millstatt are available for athletes. For participants who prefer simpler accommodations, additional camping options are offered in the Lake Millstatt area.
Room blocks in the partner hotels are reserved for athletes, ensuring comfortable lodging and short distances between accommodations, registration, and competition venues.
The finish line at the Schwaigerhütte is accessible by car, allowing coaches and spectators to meet the athletes on site.

For organizational reasons, there will unfortunately be no Granat Xtreme Triathlon in 2026. We are still working hard to make the event happen as planned. Our ultimate goal is to create an event that will be memorable, run smoothly, and, above all, meet all safety requirements. We hope that this will be the case in 2027!
